The Centre for Abuse and Trauma Therapy Inc. is committed to provide support, empowerment and advocacy to survivors of abuse and trauma through professionally facilitated individual therapy. The Centre is a non-profit, charitable counselling agency that provides advocacy for survivors of trauma and abuse, specialized in short and long term therapy for individuals who have been abused, traumatized, or stressed by life’s experiences.

 

We are seeking a Psychotherapist with training and experience in working with issues of trauma and abuse and a passion for helping others to join our team. We welcome Clinicians who want to join our team Full Time on a Fee-For-For-Services basis.

 

All applicants must be a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO) or other recognized College (or be in the process), carry liability insurance, or be eligible to acquire same, provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) if hired, and provide three references.

 

Centre Psychotherapists are responsible for managing their own caseloads, client files, financial records, statistics, professional development and some administrative work. Position has flexible hours, working daytime or evening hours. Supervision will be provided on a regular basis. All Centre members are expected to provide a certain amount of volunteer efforts for the advancement and management of the Centre. Your will be required to work remotely and in office setting for in person sessions.

 

All Centre Psychotherapists accepted to work at the Centre must agree with the Basis of Unity, Mission Statement and Code of Ethics. Centre Therapists must sign the Confidentiality agreement, Code of Conduct policy and a Positive Work Atmosphere policy and agree to work according to the policies and procedures of the Centre.

 

We provide trauma training consisting of 16 – 22 hours (depending on qualifications) without compensation to candidates being considered for employment. All successful candidates will be required to attend this mandatory training before signing a contract of employment. Additional Centre training will be provided throughout your employment.
